Cookie Policy

Last Updated: January 2026

1. Introduction

eSki ("we", "us", "the platform") uses cookies and related technologies (pixels, web beacons, tags, scripts, and local storage) – collectively "Cookies" – to provide, maintain, and improve our services, optimise content and marketing, identify technical issues, and offer a better, more personalised experience to users.

2. What are cookies & related technologies

Cookies are small files stored in your browser or device when you visit our platform. They remember preferences, keep sessions active, and help us understand how the platform is used.

Related technologies such as pixels, web beacons, tracking URLs, SDKs, and local storage work similarly and are subject to the same consent and management rules.

3. Categories of cookies we use

3.1 Necessary

Required for the basic operation of the platform and cannot be disabled in our systems. These include maintaining login sessions, secure identity verification, checkout and payment functionality (e.g. via Viva Wallet), storing acceptance of terms and policies, and language selection.

Necessary cookies help the platform operate correctly and securely. They are not used for marketing purposes and do not require consent under applicable ePrivacy legislation.

3.2 Functional

These remember settings and preferences (e.g. language) and, where applicable, profile details, so the user experience remains personalised and seamless on return visits.

3.3 Analytics / Performance

Used to measure visits and traffic sources in order to improve the performance and user experience of the platform.

eSki uses Google tools (e.g. Google Ads – conversion tracking) to evaluate campaign effectiveness and optimise content. This data is generally aggregated and, where possible, pseudonymised, in accordance with provider practices.

3.4 Advertising / Remarketing

Used to display targeted advertisements relevant to your interests, both within and outside the eSki platform (e.g. Google Ads remarketing).

Default consent setting: Optional cookies (Analytics and Marketing) are disabled by default and are only activated after your explicit consent via the banner or cookie settings. No optional cookie is placed before your consent.

4. Third-party cookies

Our website may contain content from third-party service providers, including analytics providers for tracking site usage and performance, payment processors for secure transaction handling, and marketing partners for delivering relevant advertisements.

5. How to manage cookies (consent & withdrawal)

Consent banner: On your first visit you can accept, reject, or configure cookie categories in detail. Rejection is just as easy as acceptance.
Withdrawing consent: You can withdraw your consent at any time through your browser settings (e.g. deleting or blocking cookies).
Additional tools: You can also manage advertising cookies through the European tool Your Online Choices: https://www.youronlinechoices.eu/

Disabling certain cookies may affect core platform functionality (e.g. login or payment).

6. Storage duration

  • Session cookies: deleted automatically when the browser is closed or the user logs out.
  • Functional / Preferences: up to 24 months, unless deleted earlier by the user.
  • Analytics: up to 24 months, in accordance with provider practices (e.g. Google).
  • Marketing: retained until consent is withdrawn or they are deleted via management tools.

After expiry, cookies are deleted or anonymised.

7. Privacy and Security

Although cookies do not contain sensitive information, they may contain identifiers that help us provide personalised services. All cookies stored on our servers are handled with appropriate security measures.

For more detailed information on how your data is handled, please review our Privacy Policy.

8. Legal basis for processing

The use of cookies is based on the following legal grounds:
Necessary cookies: required for the performance of the contract and the operation of the platform (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR and ePrivacy legislation).
Functional, Analytics, and Advertising cookies: processed only upon your consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR).

9. Modifications

We may periodically revise this Policy, with the update date displayed at the top. If we make significant changes, we will notify you by posting an announcement or by contacting you directly.
